Using Slido in Data Deep Dives

Why We Use Slido

Some Data Deep Dives will use Slido to make sessions interactive, inclusive, and measurable.

Slido allows participants to:

  • Ask questions (anonymously if preferred)
  • Respond to live interactive prompts
  • Participate in polls
  • Complete pre- and post-event surveys
  • Provide structured feedback

Each Deep Dive will have a unique Slido code shared at the beginning of the session.

What to Expect

During a Deep Dive, Slido may be used for:

Live Q&A

Submit questions throughout the session. You can upvote questions you want prioritized. Facilitators monitor Slido in real time.

Interactive Prompts

We may ask short questions to: - Gauge experience level - Collect examples from the audience - Prioritize discussion topics - Surface real-world challenges

Pre-Event Survey

Some sessions include a short pre-session survey to help us: - Understand your background - Tailor the session content - Adjust demos or examples

Post-Event Feedback

We use Slido to collect: - What worked well - What was unclear - What you’d like to see next - Topics for future Deep Dives

Enter the event code shown on the slide at the beginning of the session.

Step 3

Start participating!

No account is required to submit questions or participate in polls.

Tips for Participants

  • You can submit questions anytime during the session.
  • You can upvote questions you want answered.
  • Anonymous submissions are allowed.
  • Please keep questions relevant and respectful.
  • If your question is not answered live, we will review and follow up if needed.

Troubleshooting

If you cannot access Slido:

  • Ensure you are connected to Wi-Fi
  • Refresh your browser
  • Try using your phone if your laptop blocks pop-ups
  • Ask a facilitator for assistance
