GiG Map

Genes-in-Genomes map for all publically available Fusobacterium nucleatum

Instructions:

  • On the left is the phylogenetic tree for all publically availableFusobacterium nucleatum. The strains are mapped by minhash distance (an average nucleotide identity approximation).
  • Hover over bars at left to reveal the individual gene name (as the "x") and the organism with that gene (as the "y"). The intensity of blue ("z" value) indicates the percent identity of that genome relative to all other genes in that column (gene group).
  • Zoom in using the mouse to select a section - Click one edge of the region of interest and hold down the right mouse button while dragging over the area.
  • Move up and down, left and right, using the arrow keys
  • Colored bars at the far right indicate grouping variables for the organisms.
  • Use the buttons in the top left to toggle on and off the names for the genes and genomes on the GiG Map (zoom in to a region of interest if website is lagging).
  • Use the tool bar at that will appear if you mouse over the upper right of the plot to Download, Zoom, Pan, Zoom In/Out, Autoscale, or Reset Axes.
